Sometimes I wonder what it would truly take to just say no; not just click away, but actually refuse. This relentless march of prompts asking for my consent, my data, my very attention; it feels like a thousand tiny dragons at the gate. My fingers hover; a moment of defiance, then the inevitable press of a button. But a part of me, the part that still believes in lost causes and the power of a single stubborn heart, always pictures a charge. A lance held true, not against some grand evil, but against the endless, polite, unyielding demand to just accept. What a foolish, beautiful thing; to imagine a battle where only a mouse click resides.
